Southwest Foodshow Heats up Dallas!

ROUND UP of the Southwest Foodshow in Dallas
June 28th-29th, 2009

The Duke Marketing team enjoyed their recent visit to Dallas for the Southwest Foodshow, put on by the Texas Restaurant Association at the Dallas Convention Center June 28th-30th.

Linda Duke was one of the featured speakers, and continued with her book tour for Recipes for Restaurateurs.

Some of the best booths on the tradeshow floor included a fresh produce truck, a KILLER espresso machine, and some Texas sausage with a real cowboy at the booth!

The Fast Casual Alliance presented a panel session "Changing the Way Consumers Eat" and joining the panel from Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers, Ian Vaughn, the COO; Alan Hixon, president of Mooyah Burgers & Fries, Paul Barron chairman of the FCA, Louis Basile CEO of Wildflower Bread Company and president of the FCA, and moderated by Linda Duke.

Another panel moderated by Linda Duke was also a big hit, "Turning your Vendors into Partners" and Duke had representatives from the Texas Beef Council, Texas Dept. of Agriculture, Coke and US Foodservice present opportunities avaiable to restaurant operators.
