Hosts Mardi Gras Fat Tuesday Give-Away
Duke Marketing coordinated the first-ever national marketing campaign for Sandella's Flatbread Cafe after recently becoming agency of record for the multi-unit franchise operator. "The Brazilian Carnaval promotion was intended to be a fully integrated marketing program that all franchisees could participate in across the country," said Linda Duke. "There was also a local store marketing component to execute in their own local area to garner media attention and buzz as well as driving trial," said Duke.


Sandella's Flatbread Cafe , known for their popular grilled flatbreads, offered free Brazilian Chicken Grilled flatbread, which features grilled all white meat chicken, melted mozzarella cheese and Sandella’s own famous Brazilian sauce on oven grilled flatbread, gave away free flatbread to the first 50 guests who also enjoyed mardi gras beads, masks and a quiz in California, Arizona, North Dakota and Michigan.

In Orange County California, the O.C., right by the OC Housewives, Sandella's in Aliso Viejo celebrated Brazilian-style Carnaval in celebration of Fat Tuesday, The first guest in line, commented, “I think they got it backwards, since the celebration was all in my stomach. Everyone entered to win free flatbread for a year and owners Barb and Marc Hughson were on hand to greet each guest and offer a complimentary Brazilian flatbread.

What is a Brazilian Flatbread you may ask? Well, first you need to know a little about flatbread. Flatbread has been a part of people’s diet since ancient times. The stone hearth oven was a gathering place, both for the community and the home. At Sandella’s the oven grilled flatbreads are made from only the finest ingredients available using all natural wheat flour and contains no artificial flavors or color. Baked fresh in a traditional brick oven, Sandella’s Flatbread has three distinctive layers. The outer layers are very thin. Those layers ‘puff up' lightly toasting the bread during the baking process. The inner layer holds moisture keeping our flatbread scrumptiously soft.

Sandella’s popular grilled flatbreads are served in a variety of styles including the traditional flat-style topped with fresh ingredients, panini-sandwich-style, quesadilla-style, as well as bowls and salads – all made using their delicious, oven grilled flatbread, which by the way is low calorie, fat free and kosher.
